Day of the Dead is a celebration practiced in Indigenous communities for thousands of years before the occupation of Mexico, Central and South America. In recent years this tradition has expanded to be celebrated in the U. S. and other parts of the world. As the practice expands and takes root in other countries around the world, the precious knowledge of the tradition is getting lost. This workshop will provide you with the historical origin of the tradition and the Indigenous cosmovision embedded in the ritual, while creating the altar.
