Join the remarkable world of pastels in this two-part workshop. In the first three weeks, you will learn how easy and fun it is to make your own set of pastels from scratch. Pastels are made of only pure color (pigment), & tree saps! We will learn the basic formulas for each type of pigment and you will go home with some beautiful pastels, at minimal cost! In the second half of this course, you will learn the material basics including scumbling, blending, and some detail secrets. Through demonstrations and critique, you will produce your very own pastel masterpiece!
